Attendance

We prioritise excellent school attendance.

We have open channels of communications to report and follow up on non-attendance. We have established systems for incentives and rewards that acknowledge the effort to improve school attendance. We are accountable to report to relevant and appropriate external agencies to inform, support and improve on pupil absences and pupil welfare.

Pupils can arrive to school from 8.45 am and school day starts at 9.00 am. Registration is at 9.05 am. It is important to be on time, all pupils who arrive after registration has closed without approval or extenuating circumstances are recorded as late. All children who are late for school are expected to report to the school office and parents are directed to sign in for late arrival.

Pupils arriving at school after 9.00 am must enter through the visitor gates and report to the school office to be signed in by an adult. Pupils leaving school for any reason must report to the office before they go so that we can ensure that they are appropriately chaperoned and signed out.  Registers are also taken when the children return to classes after lunch. Unexplained absences will be investigated by the attendance officer.
