At Marlborough, we aim to give every child the best possible start to learning in school.
This is a key time to develop, explore and learn new skills. It is important to us our children benefit from forming secure relationships with their peers and trusting adults in school.
We have a holistic approach to supporting our youngest children. Our children learn through engaging play. We have a range of resources to explore which include play equipment, sand and water play, nature gardens and physical space to run around and play.
Our staff prioritise reading and sharing children’s books, role play, talking and singing. The adult led activities initiate opportunities to develop language and communication skills. We foster building on children’s interests and create learning environments to entice them into engaging activities. Nursery children have their own special assemblies and school events. They feel very much part of the main school and our older children also contribute to their learning.
